Matt is the founder of Wayward and a barber with nearly a decade of experience. Starting with a single chair and a clear vision, he’s built Wayward into a studio that values precision, calm confidence, and doing things properly. Known for sculpting some of Brisbane’s sharpest beards, Matt’s standards extend beyond the chair. He’s also one of the minds behind MY LOVER, a clothing label born from the same commitment to detail and individuality. Whether it’s a cut, a conversation, or a campaign, everything Matt touches carries intention.

With over 15 years in the industry, Callum brings precision, creativity and a calm presence to the chair. His work is clean, consistent and always considered.
His journey through the industry has seen him refine his skills across all styles, earning a reputation for consistency, creativity, and care. Some of you might remember Callum from years past, this isn’t our first time working together.
Now cutting at our Taringa studio while we finish Windsor. His books fill fast, so plan ahead.

As the studio’s manager, he plays a big role behind the scenes as well, guiding the team with quiet leadership and a clear standard. He’s the kind of barber you trust. Steady hands, good chat, and a genuine respect for the craft.

Adam, a Western Suburbs local, has become a staple at Wayward. Known for his sharp attention to detail and relentless pursuit of quality, Adam brings consistency and care to every cut. His laid-back nature makes him very easy to talk to. Ask him about soccer, Birkenstocks, or his latest playlist.

Hugo McKee
Hugo, born and raised in Brisbane, brings a sharp eye and steady hand to every cut. A fade specialist with a natural flair for mullets, he’s known just as much for his technical skill as he is for his ability to connect. Clients leave his chair feeling confident, heard, and looked after. Every time.
